Is there any videogrophers in San Antonio, Tx that offer services like SODE Wedding Videos, (They’re located in New Zealand) So I was trying to find someone in San Antonio, Tx that offered similar services.

Aside from filming your wedding SODE also creates a music video with you and your fiancee with the song of your choice…

They charge 3,000 which is pricey but if the videos are good quality, then it should be okay right?

Let me know your opinions, or suggestions especially if you’ve had a really good videographer at your wedding!

Infinity Weddings did the photography for my wedding. They showed me the different video options (I didn’t have video done because my wedding was very small) and I was very impressed! They have what your talking about, they call it their Engagement Video, and they charge $ 300 USD. For an extra $ 500 you can upgrade from DVD to Blu-Ray

I have provided the link to their different video options, if you click on Video Descriptions at the top of the page it will describe everything to you. I recommend looking into them for photography for your wedding too! We only had 35 guests but they did a fantastic job! My pics came out better than my cousin who hired someone else and had a 300 guest wedding!

Call and make an appointment and they can show you some of their video work.

I’m taping my first wedding today and yes i have experience but not in taping weddings. I have a degree in broadcasting (video and audio). I will be there before the ceremony and at the reception/dance. So It will be about 9 hours or so. And then I’m editting it at the end. So how much do I charge?

I charge 100 per hour for 5 hours min. I give the bride and groom a copy of the DVD that I edit for free. But everyone else the DVD is $ 25. I make sure I have a lot of video of everyone so they will have a reason to buy the DVD too. Of all the kids and older people, and a lot of mom and dad with the bride and groom. Sometimes I make just as much on the DVD as I do on the wedding. Use every fu-fu effect you can. I use Ulead Video-wave 11. It’s better then Adobe Premier because it has a lot of pretty (wedding) effects built in and you can overlay multiple video layers. Get you a 3d maker for free over the Internet (there are a lot of them) to do the Text and Spinning logo’s to top it off. and make some pretty flower border loops and there you go. You will make a DVD that will be worth the time you took to work on it and the money they played. Also, I give an “edited” master DVD of everything that I recorded. Some people like that.

Lets say that in the contract he states that he will return the money but that is all the extension of his liability? Would that be ok.?
I am the videographer . I can not see the future. How can I guarantee that I’ll be there?Its impossible to guarantee that.
So what should I answer when a client ask me. How do you guarantee youll be there?

If it is in his contract, he DOES NOT have to show. I would find a new one. If he wouldnt show, it could seriously ruin your day. I would want someone I could count on to be there. Remember contracts can be legally binding.

I am a Media Studies-Video Production Student who graduates in December looking for any advice that I can get to start my own video production company. I did not find any internships at production companies in my area. So I decided to open my own business. I have bought a cheaper used DV camera to use only for a little while until I make enough money to buy HD. I have set aside 3K for start-up. This will allow me to buy basic equipment. While I only have a little bit of equipment thus far, I have loads of passion for the work, confidence in my success, and support from my peers. The good news: I established a shoot with my my first client in April. I am looking for tips on shooting at weddings. My advisor at school said it would be a good idea to shadow a fellow company that is shooting a wedding in a non-competing location to get a feel for the format. I agree. Does anyone have any tips or contacts in Colorado, Kansas, or Nebraska that I could shadow? Thanks. I look forward to your advice.

Do a search for the Small Business Development Center. The SBDC’s are located all over the country, in every state, and are funded by the federal government for the sole purpose of helping people start new small businesses. They have all the information you’ll need to get started and can help you write a business plan and fill out the paperwork needed to open your business. The services offered by the SBDC are free.
