Question by no regrets: What do you have to do to become a wedding videographer?
What equipment exactly.. not just camera and computer, give me what cds, programs of editing and burning you use, licenses, what type of camera would be best, what requirements does my computer have to have, etc. Is there any classes online that i can do for this? let me in on anything you know. I know how to edit, shoot, and all that, i just want more info, and detailed please. Thank you

I borrowed out a panasonic HVX200A HD camera from my school, and it looks good also the Adobe CS4 master collection has some video software including HD video software lke adobe premiere. I do nothing related to filming, but i study fine arts but I borrowed the camera from school for kicks. IT may not be the best camera in the market, but at least it looks pro.

im looking at venues/menus/transport/hotel/hair-make-up/flowers/cake/invitations/party favors/photography(maybe a video) and then the honeymoon WOW! lol very exciting stuff but WOW im already coming way past 5000pounds (10,000dollars)(thats just the wedding day not the honeymoon to) does anyone have anyone have any cost saving ideas they could share with me please. i have 2years to plan and save but its a good job i started looking already or i never would have thought id have to save this much lol.

I felt like I got scammed. I hired a man to photograph my video graph my wedding on 08-26-2006. He was unable to give me my photos 40 days after the wedding as he stated. I ended up receiving my photos like the end of March of 2007. The pictures that He gave me were not professional they were blurry dark Etc. I was unhappy with those pictures. Up to this date he still hasn’t gave me my video packet. The packet includes 500 pictures, 2 DVD of the wedding. I had to pay before August 12, 2006 (for the amount of $ 1211.11). I tried to keep insisting so he can give me my things but it’s been such a hassle and frustrating. I don’t know if I can still sue him because of the time I let pass by. I live in Santa Barbara and wanted to hire a photographer for my wedding I just want photos no video. waht is a estimate of how much they will charge for like hours:12-6 some before the ceremony and some during the ceremony and the reception
I know everyone charges different but if you had a photographer for your wedding how much did they charge and what was provided in you packet.ex. how many hour were they there for, how many pictures did you get.

My photographer was about $ 2000 for three hours. And that was considered cheap. Other people charged $ 1500 for 2 hours, and then $ 200 for each half hour. It was pretty strange.

Your best bet is to get online, find some photographers in your area who do weddings, and then get onto their websites and look at their pricing. That’s how we did it.

Oh, and we got as many pics as we wanted, and our photographer just gave us a CD a few weeks later with every picture on it, and they signed over the copyright to us, so we didn’t have to pay them for prints, we could print them wherever we wanted (although they still had print packages available)
